Providers with a readable price table

- Published conflict
- HelloFresh quotes the 4 people, 5 meals box twice: $8.25 a serve in the intro copy, and a different figure in the price table on the same page. Both numbers are kept and the disagreement is shown on the result.

Providers with only a starting price
My Foodie Box
This provider publishes a starting price of $6.25 per serve and a flat $9.95 delivery fee, but no per-box price table. It is offered on the calculator marked as such, and it is left out of comparisons rather than being given an invented grid.
- Price
- https://www.myfoodiebox.com.au/how-it-works — "Meals start at $6.25 per serve." Available in two, three or four servings each.
- Delivery
- https://www.myfoodiebox.com.au/box-type — "There is a flat delivery fee of $9.95 for every box ordered."

What each kind of claim is based on
| What this site says | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| A provider’s box or per-serve price | The price grid on the provider’s own Australian site. Where a page quotes one plan twice in different numbers, both are kept and the disagreement is shown on the result. |
| Whether delivery is included, separate or unstated | The provider’s own delivery or shipping help article. “Included”, “a published flat fee” and “not published” are three different claims and are never merged into one. |
| Whether some areas pay more for delivery | Where the provider names a surcharge it is quoted, and any total becomes a lower bound. This site does not ask for a postcode, so it can never resolve which area a reader is in. |
| Cancel or skip deadlines | The provider’s own help article, quoted with its timezone attached, because a deadline is only useful when you know which clock it runs on. |
What this site decides rather than cites
Some parts of the calculator are judgement, not sourced fact. They are listed here so you can disagree with them.
| Judgement | What this site uses | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Which figure is the headline | The ongoing weekly cost, with no introductory discount applied | No provider published a verifiable discount amount on the check date. Leading with an offer would mean leading with a number this site cannot stand behind. |
| Which of two conflicting prices is used | The price-table figure, not the intro copy | Every other box size only appears in the table, so the table is the only basis on which sizes can be compared. The other number is printed beside it rather than dropped. |
| A month | Weekly figure × 12 ÷ 52 | Providers bill weekly, so a calendar month is not a billing period. 4.33 weeks is the same figure written shorter. |
| Whether a provider is ranked or recommended | None, and none will be added | This site has never received a box from any provider. A taste, quality or value score would be fabricated, so results are ordered by published cost and labelled a cost comparison only. |
Checked and left out
Two candidates were investigated and deliberately not listed, because listing them would imply they are meal kit services whose prices this site could read.
- cooked.com.au — A BBQ rub and gear shop, not a meal kit service. Search results present it as a meal kit provider; it is not one, so it is not listed.
- Further Dinnerly help pages — Articles at addresses this site could not confirm returned 403 or 404. Only the pages that resolved are quoted; the rest are recorded as unverified rather than filled in from memory.
Corrections
If a figure here does not match what a provider currently publishes, it should be corrected. The
about page explains how the site is run and how a re-check works; a price change is picked
up at the next verification pass over src/lib/providers.mjs.
